Rep. Ryan is a truly inspirational public figure. A six term Congressman from Ohio, he serves as a member of the powerful House Appropriations Committee and is the author of A Mindful Nation: How a Simple Practice Can Help Us Reduce Stress, Improve Performance, and Recapture the American Spirit. He is not only very personally committed to meditation -- practicing mindfulness meditation on a daily basis – he’s also pushing for policies that would incorporate meditation training into the health care system and military preparedness.
